Monthly tours of the gardens in the former ATI Dorm parking lot, Wooster, Ohio
WOOSTER, Ohio -- Joe Kovach, an Ohio State University scientist who is studying the best ways to grow food in old asphalt parking lots, will hold free public tours at his test plots in Wooster at 4 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month through August. The first tour is May 31.
The following project was developed at the 6th Annual Stinner Summit, held October 5th in Athens Ohio (find the writeup on the Summit here). This group will be used to help networking, collaboration and communication on the project. Hope you'll be able to assist with this great project in some way.
I'm just checking in on the "Farm to School Revival" project proposed at the 6th Annual Stinner Summit. Matt at Rural Action (matt@ruralaction.org) was on our list as the one who could manage the fiscal side of this via Rural Action, and we'll need to get him subscribed here. We have gone over the procedures with the OARDC Business Office and I think we're ready to make the funds flow. Let us know what the status and plans are and if we can help in some way we'll try to make it happen.
Registration is now open for the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association’s (OEFFA) 34th annual conference, Growing Opportunities, Cultivating Change. The conference will take place Saturday, February 16 and Sunday, February 17, 2013 in Granville, Ohio (Licking County).
