I'm the coordinator of a farm stand project for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
Currently we have 12 farm stands in low income communities. Our project is fairly unique, in that our focus is bringing locally grown produce to low income communities from area farms. Instead of the farmers coming to the market, the stands are managed by non-profit organizations and the food bank delivers the produce to the stands.
We have organizations that support the local food movement highlighted in the states where they volunteer one hour per month to act as state admin. Would http://localfoodsystems.org like the honor of Ohio?
