Greetings, we'll use this group to check in with the group from time to time to see how it's going and to give you a way to stay in touch. It's open for others to join, and you may want to invite folks who would likely be interested in helping with this project.
Hi all, I'm gently nudging the conversation about getting together back to the localfoodsystems.org group (just click the link in the message, check to see that you're logged in, and you're ready to reply), only because it will be seen by more interested folks than just those on the email and maybe enlist a bit more participation and help. For example, Brian Gwin has been feeding some useful information and events and Traci may know of some IFO members who'd be interested in getting involved.
Last week, you should have received an invitation to a workspace for this project which will provide file sharing, task management and mapping capabilities. The link in the email should provide you access or go to your localfood system.org dashboard and the opportunity to accept should appear in a box on the lower right. If you run into issues, please let me know.
Join OSU's Agroecosystem Management Program and Organic Valley on September 24th for an oilseed pressing workshop at Mellinger Farm, including a demonstration of Organic Valley's mobile seed press.
We will cold-press seed from the canola, sunflower, flax and camelina grown in research plots at Mellinger farm, and will share our experiences working with these crops.
